Get Skating!

Quick Quiver logoHey, all, Danielle here. Every blog has to start somewhere, and, guess what? You just found the place this one starts.

You can find more in the About page.

So who am I? I’m just your friendly neighborhood 31-year-old skater girl. I got in to skating, or, rather, back into skating, later in life. I was disappointed by the lack of resources available. Picking a board, learning how to push and slide, figuring out the difference between certain setups, it all took a lot of reading and research. I wanted there to be one place for it all. I’m a writer, having written about tech for over a decade, and I’m well versed in finding news, disseminating it, and doing reviews. Now any time I use any product, I already start reviewing it in my head. With a blog, I hope to share my thoughts, experience, and skating news with people who may not be able to get all this information easily.

Plus, I broke my wrist, and it’s frustrating not being able to skate every day (a compromise I have with my doctor that he doesn’t know about). So, instead, I figured I’d write about skating. I hope this helps you find your new passion!

Skate on!

About the author

Longboarding always looked fun, and, with a growing commute, I got into it as a means to have fun and get to work a little faster. What started as a means of transportation became a hobby and then a passion. Now I sometimes write about that passion.

  1. Hi there, just leaving a comment here to say I’ve read some articles and love the blog! Like you, I am a skater (and a writer, mainly in Dutch), started this year at age 38. My current quiver has two mini’s (including a Dinghy) an Arbor drop-through (my favorite, a 37 inch Axis) and a cheap second-hand beginner board that is way too cumbersome and not used anymore.
